Green Village TU Delft - Guided Inspiration Tour

In this tour, they would like to tell you more about the concept and context of The Green Village, their objectives, and their unique innovation process. Then you get introduced to the inspiring sustainable innovation projects at The Green Village itself. During the tour, they reflect on the three themes, in which various projects are discussed. These themes are Sustainable construction and renovation, Future energy system, and Climate-adaptive city.
This excursion is including a transfer from the KOG building to Green Village TU Delft and return.

- 13.45 pm: Coach transfer from KOG Leiden to Delft
- 14.30 pm: Guided Inspiration Tour
- 15.45 pm: Transfer from Delft to Leiden

Hortus Botanicus Leiden - Guided Tour
The Hortus botanicus Leiden is the oldest botanic garden in The Netherlands. The oldest section of the Hortus, dating back to 1590, is the current Front Garden. It has been renovated with new plants and in 2000, a new glasshouse was added to form the Winter Garden. The Clusius Garden gives an impression of what the Hortus was like around 1600, when the bonds between the Netherlands and Asia were formed. The exchange of plants and knowledge between these cultures can be seen in the Japanese Garden. The Hortus’ pride, Victoria amazonica, can be admired in the Victoria Glasshouse.
There are two timeslots for this tour. The groups for both tours are leaving by foot 20 minutes before the time of the tour from the KOG building to Hortus Botanicus. This location is within walking distance.

Guided City Walk - The best of Leiden
The tour takes you along Leiden's most important buildings and beautiful places. You walk along the glittering canals with their grand canal houses and beautiful bridges. You will hear about the rich history of the University. You visit a picturesque courtyard formerly used by the elderly, you will see the 900-year-old church of the patron saint of the city, hear about Rembrandt's youth in Leiden and so much more. Come and join the tour!
There are two timeslots for this tour. The tour will start at the KOG building, make sure you will be there 10 minutes before the time of your tour.
